Ja Carter | Senior Consultant
Ja began his professional career as a drafting apprentice during his senior year of high school. Ja had an initial focus of moving into architectural design, but quickly started in mechanical design focused on tool and die. As his drafting career advanced, Ja was introduced to programming while creating scripts to automate common tasks for a program called AutoCAD. He was later introduced to database concepts while developing an internal job tracking system. As online development and web-based design gained traction, Ja realized that his developing programming skills could be used on a more full-time basis creating data driven websites, the precursor to the web applications utilized today.
In 2001, Ja took the leap and shifted career paths away from mechanical design, and pursued an opportunity with an interactive media agency focused on custom web application development. Over the next 13 years, Ja developed multiple web sites and applications. The constant change of the internet meant a constant learning of new languages, technologies and concepts that Ja continued to acquire and master (and still does to this day). With his in-depth knowledge of application creation, Ja began to establish development standards that were utilized company-wide, while also serving as a mentor to young developers entering the workforce.
In 2014, Ja joined the RSC team and immediately stepped into the role of Senior Level Consultant, providing our partners with years of knowledge and education. When not developing high-end solutions for our partners, Ja enjoys the great outdoors, surrounding himself with nature and all of its natural beauty. Specifically, Ja is an avid fisherman, particularly enjoying fly fishing. Unlike most fishermen however, Ja really did almost catch the big one……
Seth Grannan | Senior Software Engineer
Seth is an alumnus of the University of Southern Indiana where he completed a bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science. While attending school, he took the opportunity to become a member and officer of the fraternal organization Kappa Alpha Order. During his tenure at USI, he helped rebuild the local chapter’s numbers and now proudly serves on the Board of Directors for the KAO Southern Indiana Alumni Association.
His post-collegiate experience has led him through many different industries. Most notably is Healthcare IT, where he developed Electronic Health Record technology, Billing systems, and integration for medical devices. Leaving Healthcare IT, Seth found an opportunity in Indianapolis through the Field Service industry by signing on with a security company to develop enterprise applications and streamline work force management. Afterwards he shifted into the consulting realm to work for a variety of clientele in such industries as Telecom software, Healthcare IT and Loan servicing. These would eventually lead him to Reliable Solutions through a partner company.
Seth joined the RSC Team as a contract-to-hire in April 2016 and committed full time to RSC in October 2016. In his spare time he enjoys being a connoisseur of craft beer and bourbon; often attending events, collecting rare brews and chatting with industry professionals. When he isn’t adding to his extensive collections, you can find him in the kitchen cooking up something delicious that likely involves bacon or attending local sporting events and cheering on his Pacers.
One interesting fact about Seth: He once did a 20+ hour road trip by himself and ended up in Roswell, New Mexico.
Mike Timmons | RSC Co-Owner & Senior Consultant
Mike entered the world of software development as a 1996 graduate of Ball State University, leaving as a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. During his Ball State tenure, Mike unsuccessfully auditioned for the prestigious role of Charlie Cardinal, the beloved mascot of BSU……
Upon his graduation, Mike entered the professional workforce with a Chicago-based consulting company that based him in Indianapolis. During this time, Mike was working with Cobol and RPG programs on an AS/400 to collect and clean clinical trial data. By 2001, Mike was co-leading a team developing a Java EJB-based system for storing and querying genetic specimens.
In 2008, Mike and his business partner Tim, decided to venture out and start their own business founded on the principles of providing quality work and employee and client satisfaction. Reliable Solutions Corp was born. Over the last eight years, Mike has held to that focus, ensuring that client’s needs are understood first and then a solution that fits those needs is developed.
Throughout his career, Mike has continued to build his education taking a number of continuing education courses from a variety of places, including Ivy Tech and IUPUI. Most recently, Mike works on a learn as-needed basis, leveraging various resources on the internet to learn about new technologies and to stay current to best support his ever-growing base of clients. When not developing high-end solutions for his wide-range of clients, Mike goes by the Carmen Santiago theme song…. “Where in the world is Mike Timmons?” Mike is a world traveler, enjoying trips to some of the most remote destinations around the world. His passport includes China, Peru, Costa Rica, Europe, and Africa, among many others. Mike is also an avid wildlife photographer, with his primary focus being on exotic birds from around the globe. His photo portfolio is quite impressive, give him a follow and check out some of this amazing shots.
One Interesting Fact About Mike: Despite common belief and office folklore, Mike was NOT actually raised by wolves. As the story goes, during an expedition deep in the jungles of Peru, Mike was separated from his guide and befriended a wolf pack called the Allen-tribe. During his two-weeks with the tribe, legend states that Mike became the alfa-male leading the wolf pack on many bird watching excursions… Turns out, none of this is actually true.
Danny Rich |Junior Software Engineer & Designer
Danny is a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where she majored in Game Development. It was at AiP that Danny first got into writing code, starting with ActionScript in Adobe Flash (the platform everyone loves to hate) and eventually moving on to working in Unity where she learned JavaScript and C#. During her time at AiP, Danny helped to bring Unity 3D into her program’s curriculum by pushing for the game engine’s use over the antiquated Unreal engine in her senior project coursework. Unity 3D has since taken the games industry by storm. Additionally, Danny helped to found her alma matter’s International Game Developer’s Association (IGDA) chapter for which she served as Treasurer and helped in designing the chapter’s first game, created in Unity of course.
Before attending AiP, Danny worked in corporate aviation as an Avionics technician and served in the Indiana Air National Guard as an aircraft electrician. She continued to hold both of these positions while attending college full-time, gaining her nearly a decade of experience in aviation maintenance and major retrofits. Surprisingly, this experience has served her well in the IT and games industries as each uses a similar project pipeline, allowing Danny to bring valuable project design/management skills to the table.
After graduation, Danny took a position with a local Indianapolis small business working as the company’s web master and tech admin. During her tenure, Danny designed and maintained the company’s website, managed all social media (earning her the in-house title of Social Media Ninja), and implemented a point-of-sale system that integrated with all of the company’s online sales streams. These actions helped propel the very small company to big success.
Danny joined the RSC team in March of 2015 bringing with her an arsenal of design skills that the company needed. When she’s not in the office, Danny is a Jill of many trades. She enjoys riding and restoring vintage motorcycles, gardening, travel, and of course playing video games. She prefers to play MMORPGs (think World of Warcraft) and can usually be found running around healing her friends in Warhammer Return of Reckoning. Danny also enjoys working on small game projects with friends and playing around with 3D modeling. In addition to her hobbies, Danny works on continuing her education through self-paced coursework in Computer Science.
One interesting fact about Danny: She is an avid Icelandophile (meaning she loves Iceland!). Danny has traveled to the tiny Nordic country 3 times (so far) and has been slowly learning Icelandic – a difficult task considering that only about 300,000 people worldwide are fluent in the language. Her favorite phrase? “Eina með öllu”, which is what you say when you order an Icelandic hotdog with everything. Anyone who has been to Iceland knows all about the hotdogs…

Tim Parham | RSC Co-Owner & Senior Developer
Tim’s college history is a meandering path from southern Michigan to central Indiana. During this journey, Tim focused his studies on learning the important components of his craft, completing a wide range of development classes in everything from Fortran to Java.
Tim started his IT career as a computer operator through a high school cooperative education program and advanced to department management shortly after graduation. Realizing a true enjoyment in the IT field, he balanced on-the-job experience with classroom studies until he landed his first programming positon.
From there it was on to consulting and software development. Tim again advanced his knowledge base by picking up additional classes and training to further his abilities. Ultimately this journey, along with a parting of ways from his previous firm, lead him to be a founding partner of Reliable Solutions Corp in 2008.
At RSC, Tim has continued as a Senior Developer while also successfully leading the company from an ownership role. When not working with our partners, you will find Tim either at a lake or golf course. If you can pull it behind a boat, Tim will figure out how to ride it. While he enjoys slaloming and barefooting, his greatest passion is teaching others to improve their skiing. He is definitely not qualified to teach anyone how to golf, but does boast about a 9-hole 2-under-par round. Don’t ask about the other 9……
One interesting fact about Tim: Tim has a passion for wrestling, as well as working with kids. He spent many years working with inner city youth and mentoring them through the sport of wrestling. To this day, it is one of his most rewarding experiences and he still enjoys hearing from the graduates of the program.
